ASSAM and MEGHALAYA Tour Plan - Itinerary - Package (3N SHILLONG - 1N GUWAHATI)
Day 1: Arrive at Guwahati and transfer to Shillong
When you reach Guwahati, take a trip to Shillong (99 Kms). Along the way, have lunch at Borapani LakeUmiam, a peaceful lake surrounded by sylvan hills. Upon arrival, check into the hotel. In the afternoon, check out the local market. Stay overnight at hotel in Shillong.
Day 2: Shillong
After breakfast, we will visit Mawlynnong, India's cleanest village about 50 miles [80 km] from Cherrapunji and close to the picturesque villages; there are interesting things like a living root bridge and a beautiful visible stone that sculpts on another rock. After this, we will visit Dawki Lake. Dawki offers amazing views of the Meghalaya landscape. The town is a great place to look at Page and Jaintia Hills.Stay overnight at hotel in Shillong.
Day 3: Shillong- Cherrapunji - Shillong (Approximately 54 Km)
After breakfast in the morning and hit the road to Cherrapunji, the wettest place in the world. Visit Noh-Ka-Likai and a few caves in Cherrapunji and surrounding areas. Later, head back to Shillong. Along the way, visit Shillong Peak and Elephanta Falls.
Day 4: Shillong - Guwahati (Approximately 99Kms)
After breakfast, proceed towards Guwahati. Upon arrival, check into your hotel. Evening is free for leisure activities. You can visit the local market for a purchase. Overnight stay in Guwahati.
Day 5: Travel
Today, send for breakfast, visit Kamakhya Temple, a popular Hindu travel site. During the Ambubashi festival, the temple is filled with more than a million dedicated people. After honoring the mother goddess Kamakhya, return to the hotel and relax. You will be transferred to the airport to board the flight to the destinations.
